Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-05-29

By using DNS Export (the "Service") you agree to these terms. They are short on purpose.

1. The Service

DNS Export is a free, public tool for looking up DNS records, checking propagation, and auditing email security configurations for any domain. We don't require accounts, payment, or registration.

2. Acceptable use

You may use the Service for any lawful purpose. You must not:

We may rate-limit or block requests that appear to violate these conditions, without notice.

3. No warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. DNS query results are returned by independent third-party resolvers and may be incomplete, delayed, or stale due to caching. The email-security grading, propagation analysis, and fix suggestions are informational and should not be the sole basis for any security or compliance decision. Always verify with your authoritative DNS provider and email administrator before making changes.

4. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall the operators of DNS Export be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of, or inability to use, the Service.

5. Third-party content

DNS Export forwards queries to public DNS resolvers and renders the answers we receive. We have no control over the records returned, including DKIM, SPF, or other text values. We are not responsible for the content of those records.

6. Intellectual property

The DNS Export name, layout, source code, and original written content are © the project authors. The DNS records returned by upstream resolvers are the responsibility of the domain owners that published them.

7. Changes

We may revise these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the new terms. The "Last updated" date above reflects the latest revision.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Service's operator is established, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.
